Andrea is a graphic designer on the Voilà: team. She brings graphic solutions and a creative vision to information.
Drawn to an artistic path while maintaining a strong interest in science, she studied graphic design at the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Fashion and Environmental Design.
As a graphic designer and independent art director for the past 10 years, Andrea spent several years working in the fashion and luxury industries in France. Initially specializing in web design and photography, she gradually became interested in visual storytelling, driven by a desire to tell stories differently and to structure images in order to better convey a message. She discovered data visualization through graphic design books and several exhibitions that served as a true turning point: she saw in it a way to bring deeper meaning back to visual communication and an opportunity to reconnect with the scientific world. She began integrating data into her practice, playing with graphic codes and a poetic approach to information. Some of her visualizations were recognized by the Information is Beautiful Awards.
Now based in Montreal, she has joined the Voilà team with the desire to pursue her passion and contribute to meaningful projects that uphold strong values, particularly around social and environmental issues.
